What is the best place for an overnight canoe trip in central VA?

Can you answer Spencer J’s question about Rafting?:

I want to go on a one night canoe trip. I have done a few sections of the James, my favorite is the Balcony Falls run. If I did this section again, would it be better to start above it, or go past it in order to make the total trip about 25 miles? If you have another suggestion, I am more than open to it.

Rafting Feedback: If you put in a Buchanan and stop for the night in Glasgow, you can do the rapids first thing in the second day and put out in Big Island. That would put about 28 miles and have good places to be collected.

Rafting Feedback: The James is great.

I love going to Orange County and going on the Rapidan and into the Rappahannock. Great fishing the whole time as well.
